We are a playful, personal and locally rooted store with unique quality products. Inspired by Norwegian nature, culture and design, the store combines elegant elements with colors, materials and creative exhibitions that invite exploration. A genuine and welcoming meeting place where both locals and tourists find meaningful gifts and memories to take home or share with their loved ones.

HISTORY

Our history goes back to 1947 and an enterprising lady named Audhild Viken. Her motto was "you don't know what you can do until you try, and it's incredible what you can do if you want to". Audhild established the company Audhild Vikens Vevstove, which today specializes in traditional Norwegian crafts and souvenirs. Eventually, Audhild's son, Hallvard, took over the company.

Ting was established in 1999 by brothers Harald and Audun Viken, Audhild's grandchildren. The brothers wanted to create a different gift and interior design store, with a focus on spreading joy. This is why you will always be able to find fun and slightly strange products with us - things that make a great gift for yourself or others and are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Ting is today a modern store concept that focuses especially on individual things and a varied product selection. With us you will find a wide range of nice, fun and colorful things for all occasions! We have a special focus on selling Norwegian and Scandinavian products. We offer products in a variety of different price ranges so that you can easily find what you need - no matter the occasion!

Ting Bergen AS has a flagship store in Bergen and operates ting.no. We also have the official Moomin stores at Bryggen in Bergen and the online store moomin.no. In addition, we are behind the concept North , which sells Norwegian souvenirs on the foreign streets at Oslo Gardermoen and Bergen Flesland.
